It's time that we acknowledge the trying times in our country. The inherent challenges for black people and people of color are visible now, and have been present for centuries.
It's hard to know what to say, particularly living in a predominantly white part of the country, and as a business that facilitates a sport dominated by wealthy white folks. But we'd rather say SOMETHING than NOTHING.
No Man's Land Film Festival just released this incredible program... a collection of films highlighting black athletes, filmmakers, and advocates called "Black Lives Matter: Diversify Our Outdoors". Ticket sales will be donated to Outdoor Afro, a national non-profit that inspires black people and nature to connect.
Support this important cause. The film is available for viewing from June 11 until June 30. This program is, at the very least, one way to celebrate the accomplishments of those born into this world less privileged simply because of the color of their skin.
We at Teton Rock Gym support Black Lives Matter, and this is our way of spreading that word. Go to the link below.
