To all the members of the Teton Rock Gym climbing community,

Yesterday’s announcement of Teton Valley’s first confirmed COVID case, coupled with school closures, has prompted us to follow prevailing medical advice and close the gym to the public. We are hoping to help do our part in preventing the spread of this outbreak, and seek your support and understanding in the following weeks.

Open Hours: The gym will be closed to the general public until further notice.

Youth Programs: All programs are cancelled until further notice. We hope to keep our next scheduled program start date of April 13th, but obviously we will continue to assess the developing situation. We ask that parents accept credit towards future climbing services if they can once we re-open.

Movies On The Mats: Postponed until further notice.

    • Prepaid members will have their expiration dates extended by the number of days the gym is closed.
    • Frozen members will not be charged fees during the closure. Please fill out the membership freeze form on our website if you would like to freeze your membership.
    • Recurring Billing members with keycard access will retain full use of the facility for the time being. If you are a recurring billing member and would like to pick up a keycard, please reach out via email ( and we will schedule times to give orientations as requests come in. Please keep an eye on our social media and email for updates on this, as its subject to change. We are considering implementing rolling sign ups for limiting the number of climbers in the facility at a time if necessary but do not anticipate this problem with the size of our community. Please adhere to the current suggested social distancing guidelines, wash your hands often, don’t touch your face, etc. We have some sanitizer left on the desk – please prioritize washing your hands if you can and use sparingly as there is none currently available. As soon as there is more we will purchase and leave it on the desk for your use. We will continue to disinfect and clean the gym daily, but please help us by spraying down workout equipment with the disinfectant provided on the counters.

As most of you know, we are a small non-profit gym. Like everyone, will be feeling the financial implications of this. We ask for your support in this time – if you are able to continue your membership and support the gym financially we would greatly appreciate it. Please take care of yourselves, we’ll get through this together.
