Youth Programs Registration
Winter 25′ Session registration opens Tuesdays, November 12th at 6:30pm.
Parents!
Please note the start time of programs as some have changed. Those with 3:45 start times are intended for the lower (k-3) elementary school release times or other (non-district 401) release times. We have shifted Mini and Monkey TUESDAY program start time to 4:15 to help accommodate the later 4th+ grades’ release times, as well as those coming from Victor.
Welcome to youth programs at Teton Rock Gym! We provide programs for all ability levels and ages. Our classes help develop confidence, technical climbing ability, and help strengthen community and trust. Our emphasis is on safety, fun, and establishing a healthy, lifelong relationship with climbing!
To save time, click “Log In or Create Profile” (located top right of each program’s registration page). This will allow you to create an Express Booking Profile to store your name, address and additional participant names. Once your profile is set up, you’ll be able to log in and reserve online classes with just a few clicks.
After School Classes
Mini Monkeys (5-6)
11 Weeks 1x or 2x weekly

In this 1 hour class, kids ages 5-7 learn the basics of climbing while building confidence, strength, and balance through games, bouldering, and roped climbing.
Marmosets (6-9)
11 Weeks 2x weekly
January 6th – March 19th
Time: 2x Weekly Mondays and Wednesdays 3:45-4:45 PM
Price: $315
The Marmosets program is intended for motivated young climbers who have been in Teton Rock Gym climbing programs before and are ready to climb twice weekly. They will learn foundational skills, belaying for the appropriate ages, while having fun and increasing their familiarity with the gym.
Monkeys (7+)
11 Weeks 1x or 2x weekly

Price: $165
Monkeys is a 1 hour after school program for kids ages 8+. These climbers learn basic climbing techniques and movement concepts through drills and sport-specific games. They also learn to top-rope belay, and are given the responsibility to belay their peers.
Teams
Spider Monkey Team (8+)
11 week 2x weekly
January 6th – March 19th
Time: 2x weekly Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:15-5:30 PM
Price: $315
This group of athletes demonstrates focus and clear motivation to climb. Climbers must have previous experience in TRG programs, OR by coach approval. Climbers in this group are introduced to more rigorous climbing workouts, strength and mobility training, a large movement vocabulary, and are invited to compete at local and regional competitions with our Junior and Advanced teams.
Competitive Teams
Junior Team
11 Weeks: January 6th – March 20th
Time: 3x weekly Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:45-6pm PM, Thursdays, 4:45-6:45 PM
Price: $480
Junior Team expands upon the skills learned in our other programs by honing climbing technique, practicing injury prevention, stretching and conditioning, physical and mental health, and teamwork. Junior team is encouraged to compete locally and at USA climbing competitions and to participate in as many climbing opportunities as possible. The junior team has one joint practice with our competitive team climbers on Thursdays.
Please note that coaches are committed to traveling to USAC qualifying competitions and the regional championships to support our competitors during the fall indoor boulder season only at this time. Starting Fall 2025 there will be additional travel fees to help subsidize coach travel costs for those competing at USAC events only. Climbers are welcome to participate in the Spring USAC top rope/lead events if they wish, and we will continue to train roped climbing more heavily during this season to set climbers up for success. We are not able to travel extensively during the Spring season due to time, financial, and travel safety concerns. We will still strive to attend all available local competitions throughout the year!
This program is by instructor approval only.
Requirements and Prerequisites:
- 2 years in climbing programs and/or coach approval
- Comfortable climbing 5.9 and V1
- Projecting (with progress) 5.10 and V2
- Consistent demonstration of strong work ethic and focus.
- Personal shoes, harness, & chalk bag
- Participation in at least 1 local competition
- USAC climbing optional but encouraged

Advanced Team (Ages 12+)
11 Weeks: January 6th – March 20th
Time: 3x weekly Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:00-7:45 PM, Thursdays, 4:45-6:45 PM
Price: $480
Advanced Team is for kids who have already been in our team level programs and are interested in training for competition climbing. These athletes are exposed to a large movement vocabulary that extends beyond climbing, including soft acrobatics, yoga, aerial arts, dance, parkour, balance, stretching, and conditioning. Members of our competitive team are leaders in our youth and wider climbing community. Team members learn to set boulders, develop intermediate and advanced climbing skills for indoor and outdoor bouldering, top roping and lead climbing, and are expected to serve as role models for our younger climbers.

Clubs
Teen Climbing Club (Inclusive, Ages 13+)
11 Weeks
January 7th – March 18th
Teen Climbing Club offers an opportunity to build a healthy relationship with climbing in a laid-back environment. This club meets once a week for instruction and includes a membership during the duration of the session. Participants can come during any open hours and must be 13+ to climb unaccompanied. This program is inclusive of teens with disabilities or who may require accommodations. Please reach out if you have questions. Time: Tuesdays, 5:15 – 6:30 PM.

The Nitty Gritty
Drop-ins: If you aren't ready to commit, we encourage you to come to the gym and try out climbing. We are no longer offering drop-ins mid-session, sorry!
Missed Classes: Due to the small size and structure of our programs, it has become difficult to offer make-up days. We are happy to offer 1 free pass to the gym per session for missed days. We have tried to alleviate some of the stress by making the climbing team the same price for 2 or 3 days, but this is the only program we are able to offer it for.
Refunds: Cancellations made 2 weeks prior to first class are refundable less a 30% administrative fee. Cancellations made 1 week prior to the first day of class may receive a 50% house credit which may be used for any gym programs, membership, and open gym climbing passes. We are not able to refund or credit any cancellations made within 1 week prior to a class.
Food/Drink: Please make sure your kids come with snacks – we also offer an assortment of snacks that can be purchased or invoiced to your child’s account. If you would like your child to be able to invoice snacks to their account please let us know so we can set this up.
COVID & Masks We are continuing to follow CDC guidelines and local ordinances regarding masks. Please send your child with a mask until further changes are announced.

Recreational Team (Ages 11+)
10 Weeks: September 7th – November 9th

Adaptive Intro to Climbing
8 Weeks: January 11th, 2023 – March 15th, 2023
This program is intended for kids 18 and under with special needs. Kids can become familiar with the gym and our instructors in a low-key environment with the help of their caretakers if necessary. They’ll have the opportunity to boulder (climb without ropes) and top rope climb with harnesses.
Time: Wednesdays, 5:00-6:00 PM
Price: $60
Youth Autism Program
Our small group autism program seeks to create an environment that introduces kids to rock climbing, the rock gym, and our instructors. This program aims to get kids on the wall and up the slide, and begin to engage with the sport. This program is open to children throughout the autism spectrum, and families are welcome to bring their own therapists.
Time: Mondays, 2:00-3:00 PM
