Code of Conduct for Members and Guests

Teton Rock Gym’s goal is to offer a safe environment for staff and gym users. To achieve this, we expect all guests and members to follow basic rules of conduct to protect everyone’s interests and safety. It is not possible to list all behavior that is considered unacceptable in the gym, but the following are examples of violations of rules of conduct that may result in disciplinary action, including potential termination of membership:

  • Abusive, violent, threatening, vulgar, or identity related epithets, language, or behavior.
  • Harassment or intimidation by words, gestures, body language, or any type of menacing, oppressive, or sexual behavior
  • Provoking a physical fight or engaging in physical fight
  • Theft or the deliberate or careless damage of any gym property or property of any employee, or member/guests
  • Violating any policy, rule, or procedure of Teton Rock Gym, including but not limited to those set forth in the safety waiver, gym rules, youth policies, or member contracts.
  • Care for the facility whether staffed or unstaffed – save energy by turning off unnecessary fans, music, and lights at night; notify management of broken or unsafe equipment.
  • Return items to the location you found them, cleaning as appropriate
  • Report abuse of rules to management as soon as you see it
  • Respect the staff at all times and follow their requests
  • The main entrance door should remain closed and locked outside of business hours. The door should never be propped open when our front desk is not staffed.

The protection of staff, members, and guests using the Teton Rock Gym facility or participating in its programs is our number one priority. We therefore reserve the right to deny access or membership to any person for any reason.  Members and guests should not hesitate to notify a staff member of concerns, and may also report them by emailing [email protected].

Suspension or termination of Teton Rock Gym membership privileges or access may result from a determination by leadership staff if, at their discretion, a violation of Teton Rock Gym’s Code of Conduct has occurred.
